Part-Time Jr. Marketing Specialist

VIR Insights is looking for a Jr. SEO Specialist / Search Engine Marketing specialist who is curious, driven, and both creative and analytical. The desired specialist is a self-starter who has an interest in developing their skills, growing with a team and has an aptitude to learn new concepts. 

Part time: Estimated 10 – 20 hours weekly with opportunity for growth

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop and implement our SEO strategy

  • Work towards organic search optimization and ROI maximization

  • Regularly perform thorough keywords research

  • Identify key SEO KPIs

  • Monitor redirects, click rate, bounce rate, and other KPIs

  • Prepare and present reports regularly

  • Identify our buyer persona to better target identified audiences

  • Identify problems and deficiency and implement solutions in a timely manner

  • Suggest improvements for process and productivity optimization

  • Work with web developers and marketing teams to properly implement SEO best practices

  • Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing latest trends and best practices

  • Google Analytics with in-depth goal and conversion tracking

  • Manages Google Ads account, Facebook Ads, Bing Ads 

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics/Tag Manager/Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Keyword Research tools

  • Perform keyword research and competitive analysis

  • Identify optimization opportunities to drive higher conversion rates 

  • Identify growth opportunities in core areas such as site infrastructure, keyword selection, or on-page     factors optimization

  • Manage SEO activities such as keyword strategy, content strategy and link building to increase organic search rankings and drive search traffic from Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other search engines

  • Understand and implement technical SEO audits and changes

  • Identifies critical` conversion points and drop off points and optimizes user funnels

  • Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights

  • Produce ongoing keyword research, including discovery and growth opportunities

  • Develop, manage, and implement website optimization: testing, optimization, reporting, forecasting  

  • Assist in content management, A/B test strategy, content optimization, and conversion rate optimization

  • Monitor redirects, canonical tags, click rate, bounce rate, and other KPIs

  • Manage and optimize SEO platform keeping keywords up to date with new geos, keywords, and terms

  • Generate high-quality periodic reports summarizing performance metrics for the website, social media, and email campaigns

  • Execute on-page optimizations and link-building campaigns

  • Devise and execute methods to track, report, analyze and improve SEO performance

  • Produce monthly reports on SEO action plan execution and status

Skills and qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of Search Engine Marketing Specialist/SEO Specialist or similar role

  • At least 1 year experience with web analytics, marketing and business development

  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methodologies 

  • Working knowledge of website analytics tools including Google Analytics

  • Team player

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Detail oriented and organized individual who can work independently

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and able to meet deadlines
